I remember my childhood in Liberia—how we’d dress up on Christmas morning and go door to door, receiving small gifts of food or money. It was a time of magic, laughter, and belonging. But on one of my visits back home, I saw how far that joy had faded for today’s children. War, poverty, and loss had stolen so much from them.
