• At risk of violence, exploitation, and early marriage

Poor health and malnutrition delay learning and development. Without the basics—food, safety, books—many children never even get a chance to dream.

​The Educational Gap in Liberia

While public primary education in Liberia is officially free, many schools lack:

• Qualified teachers
• Safe and functional classrooms
• Essential learning materials like books, desks, and chalkboards

 
Families living in extreme poverty often can’t afford even the smallest school-related costs—uniforms, notebooks, transportation—which leads to high dropout rates, especially among girls.
 
This isn’t just an education crisis. It’s a future lost before it even begins.
